| | Herd Dog Training |  | We host clinics here at Shielin, taught by expert herd dog trainers. We also host "fun" herding trials for handlers to sharpen their skills and their dog's abilities. This is a great way to start your dog learning to herd, and a great way for you to learn how to properly handle your dog. |  | We have an open 11 acre pasture so handlers can work their dogs on longer gathers. Fetch and drive gates as well as a small gated pen for trial practice are available for the handlers to train their dogs for farm or trial work. |  | We have sheep, corrals, small working paddocks, and a round training pen for handlers to use training their dogs for close in work. We never abuse our sheep, we substitue fresh sheep for tired ones just like a football coach. |
